RFW #125 Results

Location: RFW Arena in Atlanta, GA

Welcome back to Rapid Fire Wrestling! I’m Shawn Roberts, the voice of RFW, and this week the finalists in the RFW Wildheart Championship tournament were decided, The Four Elements took over the show, and plenty more! Let’s get to it!

The Four Elements Takeover

Our show began with The Four Elements coming to the ring with Shannon Worth leading the way holding the RFW World Championship. Now, to be clear, Worth is not the champion! She stole the belt from the real champion, Kassidy Fortune, last week. Regardless, The Four Elements came to the ring with Worth holding the belt up to pair with Marcus and Tommy V’s RFW Tag Team Championships.

While the foursome celebrated and touted their continued dominance over RFW’s roster, they were joined by Cool Spencer and Paisley Alden which clearly bothered Killer Malone, Marcus, and Tommy V. You have to wonder what Worth sees in these two. Spencer broke out a bottle of champagne and Alden produced some of those cheap plastic champagne flutes (the stem broke off one or two) and everyone toasted to the continued dominance of The Four Elements.

“It’s all coming together, boys! We’ve got the tag titles, now we’ve got the World title. Malone, I think you need a little something shiny, eh?” -Shannon Worth

Before this sham of a celebration could go any further, Kassidy Fortune mercifully came to the ring, alone I might add, and called Worth a fraud. As the Elements, Spencer, and Alden closed in on her, out came Kami King to provide backup, followed by The Cause!

A brawl broke out that initially favored The Four Elements but a future from Fortune laid out Worth, King hit Alden and Spencer with super kicks, The Cause took out Marcus and Tommy V. Samson and Malone had a stare down but Malone backed off, picked up Worth, and regrouped with Marcus and Tommy V.

As the dust settled, Fortune and King both reached for the RFW World Championship belt at the same time. The two stared at each other for a long moment before King released the belt to its rightful owner. King is set to compete for that title at Spring Shockwave but things are suddenly looking more complicated with The Four Elements hanging around.

Annika vs. Maria Estrella

Our first semi-final match in the RFW Wildheart Championship tournament pitted the ever-dangerous Annika against the two-time RFW World Champion, Maria Estrella. This was an action-packed match with Annika striking hard and using takedowns and Estrella using her strength to counter the assault.

The action spilled outside of the ring during this one and it got rough. Annika used the ring post to soften Estrella’s arm and applied her signature arm breaker on the floor! You can’t win a match outside the ring but Annika did the damage she wanted. She continued being the aggressor inside the ropes as Estrella was clearly favoring that arm.

Annika tried for another arm breaker but Estrella was able to slip free of her grasp before it could locked in and made a big comeback late in this match. Estrella used a running power slam to subdue Annika and pinned her to win the match.

Maria Estrella was the winner here and will advance to the finals of the tournament! I hope that arm heals up in the meantime, though, as Annika really worked on it throughout this match.

Breaking Point

It’s been a tough stretch for Alexandra Morgan. She lost the Wildheart at Final Round and things just haven’t gone her way since. We caught Morgan berating her manager, Claudia Winter, backstage in a hallway. Winter tried to smooth things over with Morgan and calm the situations but Morgan’s frustrations reached a breaking point.

A Winter placed a calming hand on Morgan’s arm to settle her, Morgan looked at her hand and then completely snapped! Morgan began whipping Winter against the walls before body slamming her on the floor! Morgan continued the assault until officials came running down the hallway and she walked away, but not before one final stomp to Winter.

Keira Ryan ran down the hallway just a beat too late to catch Morgan but crouched down and checked on Winter who I later learned suffered numerous injuries in this attack.

“Firehawk” Steve Curtis and Preston Montgomery vs. Mikey Armstrong and “Badlands” Bill Stanton

It seemed inevitable that these four would eventually collide in a tag match and sure enough, that finally happened on this show! This tag team match had Preston Montgomery using Steve Curtis to do most of the work, getting some cheap shots in when their opponents were softened up.

Bill Stanton clotheslined Montgomery over the ropes and this caused the action to move outside the ring and ultimately into the crowd! Mikey Armstrong used an exploder suplex to crush Curtis through a chair (no longer occupied by a fan). Stanton chased Montgomery further away from the ring and the referee through this match out as the brawl throughout the RFW Arena continued.

The Top of the Mountain

We saw a video package of an aerial shot looking down at a dark forest somewhere on a mountain range. The scene switched to a ground level shot of a pair of booted feet walking through a rough trail at a steep incline. The figure stepped up to a ridge and overlooked the world below, the trees small from this point and shrouded in mists.

The camera pulled back to reveal this figure to be our RFW Grand Champion, The Iconoclast.

“Mr. Panov. We soon meet in battle where I defend my championship from you in what will be the biggest challenge of your life. I stand here at the top of the mountain and see all below me. You, Mr. Panov, toil in the lowest gutters, like a rat. You don’t know what it is like to be here, nor would you know what to do if you were. This is a world you cannot understand and I will prove this to you at Spring Shockwave.” -The Iconoclast

The Iconoclast has no intention of giving up that beautiful view. Will Ruslan Panov put up with this insult? Something tells me no, he will not.

Phueng Ahunai vs. Tracy Blood

Our main event and our second semi-final match in the Wildheart tournament was a familiar sight. Phueng Ahunai and Tracy Blood first clashed last year during the Rapid Fire Festival but the stakes were much higher this time.

Blood’s victory in the first round was marred by Ahunai attacking her so it wasn’t a surprise to see Blood come into this match with an aggressive offense that kept Ahunai on the defensive. Ahunai seemed to take some pleasure in Blood’s aggression, no doubt knowing that her attack last week had an effect. Sure enough, Ahunai waited for the right moment for Blood to let down her guard and began to turn this match in her favor.

Ahunai got a few close pins but Blood was persistent. It was Ahunai’s turn to expose a crack in her offense because of some gloating and that began a massive turnaround for Blood. The kickboxer lined up a head kick to a staggering Ahunai but it was a fake on Ahunai’s part as she expertly dodged the kick! This one continued with some back-and-forth action but it was a chest-first impact into the turnbuckle that set Blood up for Ahunai to hit a flipping neck breaker on her. Ahunai pinned Blood to win this and advance to the finals of the Wildheart tournament!

Phueng Ahunai celebrated her victory while Tracy Blood walked off, frustrated. Ahunai’s celebration was cut short when Maria Estrella, her next opponent, came to the ring to confront her. The finalists had a long stare down as we closed the show.

See you next week, Rapid Fire Fanatics!
