RFW #123 Results
Location: RFW Arena in Atlanta, GA
Welcome back, Rapid Fire Fanatics! Shawn Roberts here! We kicked off the RFW Wildheart Championship tournament this week and learned that Alexandra Morgan and Kami King would compete in our main event with the winner challenging Kassidy Fortune for the RFW World Championship at Spring Shockwave! There’s plenty more action, too, so let’s get into it!
Keira Ryan vs. Annika
The first match in the RFW Wildheart Championship tournament kicked off our show with Keira Ryan taking on Annika. Ryan had a good debut year last year and matched up well against Annika in her first time out in 2026. Annika found Ryan’s technical prowess to be a puzzle to break through, but break through she did, defeating Ryan by submission with an arm breaker.
Annika stood in the ring with her arm raised and a look of confident determination on her face as she heads into the next round of this tournament.
“Firehawk” Steve Curtis w/Preston Montgomery vs. “Badlands” Bill Stanton
RFW saw the debut of “Firehawk” Steve Curtis, Preston Montgomery’s new protege, and he brought his brawling, rough neck style of wrestling in full force. It was only natural to put him to the test against one of RFW’s all-time greatest brawlers, “Badlands” Bill Stanton.
Stanton proved that even as a grizzled veteran he still had the chops to deliver a brutal fight. Curtis kept up with Stanton, however, and leveled him with a lariat before winning the match by pinfall.
Curtis wasn’t content with just the win. He continued to attack Stanton after the match with the help of Montgomery until Mikey Armstrong ran down to the ring to even the odds! Armstrong clotheslined Montgomery over the ropes and stood up to Curtis who opted to back out of further conflict.
Rus Samson and Ridge vs. Chucky Arter and Eric Waves
2025 was a tough year for Rus Samson. He had a split with his longtime running buddies, Cool Spencer and Paisley Alden, but gained a partner in Ridge. The former Lost Cause were in action against two of RFW’s up-and-comers, Chucky Arter and Eric Waves.
This highly entertaining contest featured the strength and high flying offense from Samson and Ridge matched with the smooth and quick offense from Arter and Waves. Arter and Waves nearly had this match won but a late match burst of offense from Samson followed up with a moonsault from Ridge was enough to put them away. Samson and Ridge were the winners in this one.
Our very own Kimberly Kennedy met with Rus Samson and Ridge at ringside to ask about their the collapse of Lost Cause and the future for both of them. Samson explained that he and Ridge were betrayed, Lost Cause is no more, but they are still united.
“That’s right, Rus. It may be just the two of us now but we are focused, we are determined, and we aren’t lost at all. From now on, we are calling ourselves The Cause.” -Ridge
Samson said their cause is to take the RFW Tag Team Championship from the waists of The Four Elements.
Word of Encouragement
Backstage, The Four Elements watched The Cause’s interview on a monitor with irritation. Shannon Worth stood off to the side with Cool Spencer giving words to encouragement to Paisley Alden before her match with Maria Estrella.
Alden walked out with Spencer pumped up for her match. When the door closed, Marcus asked Worth why she bothers with “those losers” (his words) and Worth said they could be useful.
“Remember, Marcus. You and Tommy have them to thank for helping to win those tag titles. It doesn’t hurt to have connections.” -Shannon Worth
Marcus looked bothered by Worth’s suggestion. But is it untrue?
Paisley Alden w/Cool Spencer vs. Maria Estrella
Paisley Alden came to the ring hyped up for her match with Maria Estrella. Cool Spencer cheered her on from ringside. Alden looked crisp in the ring but Estrella was a woman on a mission, ultimately defeating Alden by pinfall following a running powerslam.
Maria Estrella was the winner here and advances in the RFW Wildheart Championship tournament!
The Iconoclast Responds
The RFW Grand Champion, The Iconoclast, came to the ring to address last week’s challenge from Ruslan Panov. If you’ve been watching us for a while, you’ll remember that The Iconoclast has had Dezzy Nightshade by his side for years. The Iconoclast confirmed he is running without a protege now.
“I stand alone now but I never needed anyone to keep this championship and that won’t change now. Mr. Panov, I know you. You know me. Your desire to be champion is poorly timed. While I am champion, you will not succeed.” -The Iconoclast
Panov came to the ring to respond. He credited The Iconoclast as being a great champion and one of the strongest in RFW history.
“I give you the praise you deserve but it doesn’t mean that I think you are unbeatable. You have the fire of a fighting champion but it cannot stop my relentless determination to dethrone you.” -Ruslan Panov
The Iconoclast shook his head and told Panov he did not understand what he was getting himself into but will learn soon enough.
RFW World Championship Number One Contender Match
Alexandra Morgan w/Claudia Winter vs. Kami King
Our main event was a high stakes match to determine the next opponent for Kassidy Fortune, our RFW World Champion. The returning Kami King competed in her first match in our ring since 2024 and Alexandra Morgan was determined to get a rematch with Fortune after falling in defeat last December at Final Round.
King’s return started rough as Morgan quickly dominated the early minutes of this match, much to the satisfaction of Claudia Winter at ringside. King dodged a big boot from Morgan and responded with a tornado DDT before beginning her own offensive momentum. This match became a tight competition with near falls and moment where Morgan was fighting the urge to submit to an Indian deathlock. King nailed Morgan with a super kick but her pin attempt was thwarted when Winter pulled Morgan out of ring. The referee argued with Winter and in the distraction Morgan recovered and used a spinning side slam on King. Morgan covered but King shockingly kicked out! Winter watched in disbelief as King caught a second wind, hit Morgan with a super kick, and pinned her for the victory.
Kami King became the number one contender for the RFW World Champion and as she celebrated Kassidy Fortune came to the ring to size up her new opponent. No fireworks here, folks, but as Fortune and King stood face-to-face it was clear that this is going to be a match you don’t want to miss.
