Rapid Fire Festival 2026 Week 4 Results

Location: Pensacola, FL

This is it. The hottest wrestling party of the summer came to a searing conclusion in Pensacola, FL. I sure am going to miss this place. I’m Kimberly Kennedy and I’ve got all the details about what happened on this show and a little bit about where we go next after the Rapid Fire Festival. Here we go!

Welcome to Rapid Fire Wrestling!

RFW Wildheart Championship Match

Meghan DeWitt vs. Phueng Ahunai (c)

The show opened with the RFW Wildheart Championship on the line. Meghan DeWitt looked ready and determined to capture the title for the second time while Phueng Ahunai looked confident in her first defense.

The early going favored the champion as Ahunai was the first to build an offensive drive. DeWitt had to withstand submissions and calculated slams. Ahunai was twisting DeWitt’s ankle and knee but a strong kick from DeWitt shook her off and sent her flying backward. DeWitt used this opportunity to get the advantage.

DeWitt struck Ahunai hard and fast with her educated feet and hard-edged forearms. Ahunai tried to retreat but DeWitt caught her and dragged her, by the hair, back through the ropes and continued her attack. Ahunai refused to stay down for a pin but things were looking dire for the champion. A flying knee from DeWitt looked like the end but a pin too close to the ropes allowed Ahunai to get a foot on the rope to break the attempt.

DeWitt was undeterred and continued her advancing offense but missing a second flying knee proved to be her downfall. A quick comeback from Ahunai, a neck breaker, and a pin and the champion picked up a hard-fought win.

Phueng Ahunai won this match and gloated as she proudly stood tall holding the RFW Wildheart Championship. Meghan DeWitt immediately left the ring and walked backstage, frustrated, with tears in her eyes.

“The Insomniac” Kenneth Cobb vs. “Firehawk” Steve Curtis w/Preston Montgomery

I think it is safe to say that Kenneth Cobb finds Preston Montgomery and “Firehawk” Steve Curtis to be annoying. Cobb doled out some punishment to Montgomery last week and this week he challenged Curtis to a match.

Curtis has been on the rise in his first year here in RFW but found a difficult challenge in Cobb. The two men brawled more than wrestle while Montgomery looked irritated every time Cobb got some momentum build. This match went back and forth with some near falls for both men but when Curtis missed a lariat he got caught in a sleeper hold from Cobb. Curtis realized he had nowhere to go and submitted.

The Insomniac went on to win this one. As for Steve Curtis, he found himself getting a mouthful from an angry Preston Montgomery. Curtis looked around at the audience before absolutely leveling Montgomery with one of the hardest hitting short arm lariats I have ever seen! Montgomery was out cold and the fans thanked Curtis for doing so.

Extinguished

Alexandra Morgan savagely attacked Mia Mercury on the boardwalk last week just moments before Mercury was headed to the ring. This week, Morgan came to the ring having the gall to gloat about her actions!

“Remember when Mia Mercury came back after getting that ball of garbage she calls a knee repaired? Well, you all get to relive that moment sometime next year when she makes another attempt to walk into this ring again. And then? I’ll do the same thing. It’s an endless cycle of pain if Mia ever tries to cross me again.” -Alexandra Morgan

Morgan continued ranting, talking about Mercury being just one example of her newfound brutality. As she riled up the crowd, one person in the audience heard enough. A woman wearing a baseball hat, bikini top, and cutoff jean shorts hopped the barricade, slid into the ring, and tossed off her hat revealing fire red and orange hair. Mia Mercury! She may not have come dressed in wrestling gear but you don’t need gear to fight! I should note that Mercury’s knee was bandaged and braced but she moved fine proving that Morgan did not do the damage she thought she did last week.

Morgan barely had time to register what was happening before Mercury assaulted her with a barrage of fists that sent her stumbling back through the ropes to the sand outside the ring. Mercury followed and unleashed more payback. This fight spilled out into the crowd. Both women traded blows as our rowdy audience cheered this violence on. Morgan retreated toward the boardwalk where the fight continued. Mercury found herself in a painful situation where Morgan wrapped her leg around a metal railing and wrenched on her knee.

Hobbling, Mercury took more punishment but turned the tide of battle when she threw Morgan into a popcorn stand, sending popcorn flying. Mercury picked up a metal trash can and jammed it over Morgan’s head and torso. Thrown over the railing from the boardwalk to the sand, Morgan hit the beach with a metallic thud. Mercury climbed the railing, aimed, and drove a flying elbow drop onto Morgan in her trash can cocoon!

Mercury looked pleased with her measure of revenge while Morgan lay there motionless, legs sticking out from a crumpled trash can.

RFW Tag Team Championship Match

Mark Blood and Shawn Roberts vs. The Four Elements (c)

2026 has seen this new version of The Four Elements dominate RFW and it started last year when Marcus and Tommy V captured the tag titles from The Navigators. Mark Blood came to the Rapid Fire Festival with intentions to break down this dominance. Meanwhile, Shawn Roberts’ own problems with The Four Elements were enough to pull him back into the ring. United, Blood and Roberts showed up in great shape and determination.

The Four Elements quickly learned that Blood and Roberts were ready for the challenge and were on the defense as Blood overpowered Marcus while Roberts dazzled with a crisp higher speed assault. Marcus managed to tag in Tommy V who fared better but still found himself fighting from under this impressive Blood/Roberts team.

The tide turned when Marcus threw a knee to Roberts’ back on a run off the ropes. Tommy V and Marcus then showed why they are the tag champs and used crafty team tactics to keep Roberts down and, more importantly, away from Blood. Roberts fought to stay in this match, kicking out of pins and withstanding everything The Elements could throw at him. A moment of desperation from Roberts saw him drop Tommy V with a DDT and tag in Blood who came in like a freight train!

Blood dominated the ring and following a brutal brain buster traded tags with Roberts to continue the offense they started at the start of this match. Blood used a tombstone piledriver on Marcus and tagged in Roberts who climbed the turnbuckle to setup a shooting star press. Roberts hit the shooting star press but Tommy V broke up the pin. Blood tried to neutralize Tommy V but an eye gouge followed by a DDT stopped him. Tommy V dropped Roberts with a forearm to the nose before dragging Marcus to their corner where he was able to tag Tommy V in. Tommy V quickly used a brain buster on Roberts before covering him for a pin and winning this match.

The Four Elements managed to retain the RFW Tag Team Championship in a challenging contest and quickly escaped the ring with their belts and celebrated their win as they walked back up the aisle. Shawn Roberts and Mark Blood recovered in the ring and shook hands before hopping out of the ring and greeting fans on their way backstage.

Kami King vs. Paisley Alden w/Cool Spencer

There is a real possibility that if Paisley Alden was not buddying with Shannon Worth then Kami King would be RFW World Champion right now. King was eager to get her hands on Alden in this grudge match to get a measure of revenge for what went down in the world title match at Spring Shockwave.

Alden had Cool Spencer supporting her from ringside but King was unfazed by her support and brought an immediate, vicious attack that was no doubt learned during her time away last year in Grunge Club Pro Wrestling. Alden fled the ring and hugged Spencer for support. Spencer warned King to calm down but King laughed it off and beckoned Alden back into the ring.

Alden cautiously returned to the ring and locked up with King. King transitioned into a headlock but Alden pushed her to the ropes and hit a drop kick on the rebound. Alden got in some good moves here and began gloating but when she mocked a stunned King from the ring apron, King launched a surprising super kick that sent Alden falling into the arms of Spencer outside the ring. Spencer placed his lady gently on the apron, climbed the apron and began yelling at King which got him a super kick in response. King pulled Alden back into the ring, hit a second super kick, and pinned Alden for the victory.

Kami King was declared the winner and looked satisfied, though an intensity remained in her eyes as she watched Cool Spencer carry Paisley Alden back up the aisle.

RFW Grand Championship Match

Killer Malone vs. Ruslan Panov (c)

A long standing goal was fulfilled for Ruslan Panov when he captured the RFW Grand Championship earlier this year. Winning the championship is one thing but keeping it is another and his first big challenge as champion was a former champion himself, Killer Malone of The Four Elements.

This match started a bit more methodical than you would expect from two brawlers but it didn’t take long before a forearm club across Malone’s shoulders gave Panov the first signs that this was going to be a roughhouse fight. Panov had things under control as this match continued but when Malone got in some body shots and started to focus his attacks on Panov’s midsection, the champion found himself winded and Malone’s offense became more vicious.

Panov struggled through the attack but had a big comeback. Malone fought back but Panov was clearly edging him out. The crowd noise began to rise with Malone down and Panov positioning himself for a curb stomp but before he could stomp, Marcus and Tommy V ran down to ringside, causing the champion to pause.

The appearance of Malone’s Four Elements buddies caused confusion for everyone and as Panov verbally sparred with Marcus, Malone began to stir. Marcus and Tommy V teased getting into the ring but stopped when the crowd began to buzz with a mix of confusion and excitement. The Iconoclast, the man Panov defeated for the Grand Championship, walked through the crowd dressed in unusually casual black tank top, shorts, baseball camp, and sneakers and approached the ring. A moment later, the former champion attacked Marcus and Tommy V.

Panov returned his attention to Malone who recovered but not enough to turn his fortunes around. Panov finally hit that curb stomp and pinned Malone for the win!

Ruslan Panov defended the RFW Grand Championship and celebrated his win with a cautious look outside the ring where The Iconoclast kept Marcus and Tommy V away. Killer Malone crawled out of the ring and attacked The Iconoclast from behind but Panov climbed out of the ring and took him out.

This brought out RFW World Champion Shannon Worth. She confronted The Iconoclast and Panov, threatening to hit them with her title belt. This brought out Kassidy Fortune who ran out and began to brawl with Worth. These two were set to compete next but were already at each others’ throats!

RFW World Championship Match

Kassidy Fortune vs. Shannon Worth (c)

Ruslan Panov and The Iconoclast got the rest of The Four Elements away from the ring while Kassidy Fortune belted Shannon Worth with strikes. Worth was whipped hard into the steel steps, favoring her back. Fortune bulldogged Worth into the sand before rolling the champion into the ring.

The referee gave Worth a moment to recover before starting this match but it didn’t help start this match on an even footing. Fortune had her way with the champion because Worth was clearly showing the effects of the pre-match attack. I thought this one was going to be over quickly because Fortune tried for a cutter but Worth pushed away at the last moment. Worth turned the tables at this point and began a brutal attack.

Fortune found herself on the outside of the ring where Worth body slammed her on the sand, rubbed sand in her face and eyes, and then tried for a suplex but Worth’s back gave out on her. This one returned to the ring, slowly, but the Worth regained her momentum, a subtle changing of her offense to give her back a rest.

Fortune whipped Worth into the turnbuckle which caused the champion to writhe on the mat in pain. This began Fortune’s major comeback which resulted in Worth being setup for a cutter. Worth pushed out of Fortune’s grasp and hit her with a surprise spinning elbow. Both women hit the mat and Worth slowly dragged herself over Fortune for the pin. Fortune kicked out, staying alive and shocking Worth!

Neither woman was willing to give up this fight and it continued to escalate until Worth hit Fortune with a second spinning elbow and pinned her to pick up the victory and secure the continuation of her championship reign.

Shannon Worth earned this one, no question, and celebrated her win with a look of pain on her face. Notably absent from the celebration was the rest of The Four Elements but Worth did not look interested in sticking around. As she began to step through the ropes her music was cut off and replaced by Kami King’s music. King walked toward the ring as Worth, exhausted, stepped back into the ring and watched her. King grabbed a microphone, stepped into the ring, and sent Worth a message, loud and clear.

“Congratulations. Now it’s you, and it’s me, one-on-one, at Final Round.” -Kami King

And with that, we’ve got our first match set for Final Round later this year! Thank you for joining us for another Rapid Fire Festival. We’ll be back for our fall season beginning November 14th!
