Rapid Fire Festival 2026 Week 2 Results

Location: Pensacola, FL

We are back for week 2 of the Rapid Fire Festival here in Pensacola, FL. I could get used to it here. I’m Kimberly Kennedy and if you weren’t able to join us in person I have all the details on this week’s show. Check it out below.

Paisley Alden w/Cool Spencer vs. Keira Ryan

The action started with Paisley Alden, hanging on Cool Spencer’s shoulder, came to the ring for a match against Keira Ryan. Ryan looked sharp throughout this match and Alden found herself on the defensive. A thumb to Ryan’s eye helped get Alden some leverage in the match but Ryan was able to get back on offense as the match continued.

Spencer provided several moments of distraction to help Alden and his presence became a major factor when he made a scene to prevent Ryan from using a running bulldog on Alden. Ryan argued with Spencer until Alden hit her from behind. Spencer looked proud of himself but his antics brought out Kami King from our beachside audience. King hopped the rail and blasted Spencer with a super kick. This got Alden’s attention which left her open for Ryan to roll her up in a small package. Ryan picked up the win by pinfall!

Keira Ryan celebrated while Paisley Alden and Cool Spencer watched Kami King leave back through the rowdy crowd.

Mark Blood and Shawn Roberts Speak

I found myself on the boardwalk, taking in the aroma of pizza, popcorn, and sweet treats while meeting with Mark Blood and the returning to action Shawn Roberts!

I asked Roberts about what brought him back to the ring after years of being the “Voice of Rapid Fire Wrestling.”

“Kimberly, I was happy doing what I was doing but I was a little critical of The Four Elements and they put their hands on me. I won’t deny that I felt I had another go around in the ring and I was looking for the right time. Well, Marcus, Tommy, Shannon, Malone, you four created that opportunity. You made a big mistake because now I’m back to take you down!” -Shawn Roberts

Blood added that RFW means too much to him to let The Four Elements run roughshod over the roster and commented on Roberts’ return to the ring.

“Shawn and I have had a complicated relationship over the years but we are both older, wiser, and we have a united goal. It isn’t about each of us. It’s about us working together to strike The Four Elements. It starts by taking those tag titles and we won’t stop until they are put in their place.” -Mark Blood

The alliance of Mark Blood and Shawn Roberts is sure to be a threat for The Four Elements but there may be another alliance that has someone a little worried.

What’s the Connection?

The backstage area at Rapid Fire Festivals can be a lot of fun. It’s hard not to see the party atmosphere permeating all aspects of our production. Mia Mercury made her return from knee surgery last week and was clearly having a great time being back with the roster and our production crew. Mercury’s best friend, Meghan DeWitt, approached her and she smiled widely as she embraced DeWitt. DeWitt had a look of concern that was hard to miss, though, and Mercury wanted to know what was wrong.

“I am so happy to see you back and to win your return match was beautiful. It’s just... Claudia Winter introduced you? The Claudia Winter who turned her back on me? You know her. What’s up? You aren’t working with her, are you?” -Meghan DeWitt

Mercury denied any involvement with Winter, insisting that Winter had a great opportunity for her to make a return against Alexandra Morgan and took advantage. She and Winter have not spoken since. DeWitt warned Mercury to be careful around Winter before walking toward the ringside area for her match. Mercury’s upbeat mood suddenly seemed a bit less so.

Meghan DeWitt vs. Yurei

Meghan DeWitt is on course to challenge Phueng Ahunai for the RFW Wildheart championship but this week she stepped through the ropes for a match with the dangerous and unpredictable Yurei.

This match was strike-heavy though Yurei brought DeWitt down to the mat and held her down with stretches and submissions. DeWitt adapted and got the upper hand shortly before the action found its way ringside. Yurei and DeWitt had a vicious exchange on the sand before returning to the ring. This one was a nail biter for a bit but it was DeWitt who won with a pin after hitting Yurei with a flying knee strike.

Meghan DeWitt stood victorious but her celebration was short-lived. RFW Wildheart Champion Phueng Ahunai came out to ringside and mocked DeWitt which was enough of a distraction to allow Yurei to come from behind and lock DeWitt in an anaconda choke. Ahunai stepped through the ropes but before she could get involved Mia Mercury ran down to the ring. Ahunai ran off and Yurei released her hold. Mercury checked on her friend while keeping an eye on DeWitt’s attackers.

Restful Disturbance

Preston Montgomery and “Firehawk” Steve Curtis had some problems last week and were arguing while walking across the beach. Curtis blamed Montgomery for getting involved in his match with Kenneth Cobb last week and Montgomery said that Curtis needed the help. Curtis assured Montgomery he didn’t need the help.

Both men stopped as a beach umbrella beside them was pushed over and a very irritated Cobb stood up and stared at them.

“Are you kidding me? This is the first time I’ve been able to catch a few minutes of sleep in weeks and the two of you had to wake me up?” -Kenneth Cobb

Montgomery raised his hands and attempted to speak to calm the situation but Cobb whipped the beach umbrella at he and Curtis before storming off through the sand, muttering things I cannot repeat here.

Meet and Greet and Beat

It’s a busy life for our champions, especially the RFW World Champion. Shannon Worth was tolerating a meet-and-greet session with fans on the boardwalk but she was rude to all.

Worth looked fully uninterested as she signed a photo and did not look up as the next person in line slid a Kassidy Fortune poster in front of her. Worth seethed, slowly raised her head to look this prankster in the eye and found Fortune herself standing in front of her. Fortune called Worth a terrible champion.

“These people paid to meet with you and the least you could do is look at them or even pretend to want to be here. Being a champion is a lot more than gloating about your gold belt and partying with your friends. You are a terrible representative for this company!” -Kassidy Fortune

The fans in line cheered in support of Fortune but Worth was not amused. She stood up and slapped Fortune. Fortune responded by diving over the table to tackle Worth. The champion was stunned but not as much as when Fortune threw her over the boardwalk railing. Worth fell into a sandpile below as Fortune hurried down some steps and caught up with the champion as she tried to distance herself from Fortune.

Cool Spencer and Paisley Alden rolled in on a side-by-side that Worth scurried into, riding away to safety and screaming at Fortune as they drove off. Fortune went back to the autograph table and reached for the RFW World Championship belt on display. Fortune looked at the belt and then slowly held it over her head as the crowd cheered her on.

Killer Malone vs. ???

Our main event for the evening put The Four Elements’ Killer Malone up against a mystery opponent on his way to facing Ruslan Panov for the RFW Grand Championship in two weeks. That opponent? None other than a former RFW Grand Champion, Tornado!

Tornado looked better than ever and ready to upset Malone’s path toward championship gold in this special appearance. Malone was not rattled by his surprise opponent but Tornado did give him a difficult fight throughout the match.

Malone missed a running forearm and crashed into a turnbuckle which gave Tornado the chance to use a brain buster that nearly, but not quite, kept Malone down for the count. Tornado built strong momentum but a missed shooting star press was the opening Malone needed for a comeback, ultimately defeating Tornado by pinfall following a knockout punch.

Killer Malone looked strong in victory but wasn’t willing to let the win be enough of a statement. Malone continued to attack Tornado after the match was over until RFW Grand Champion Ruslan Panov ran to the ring to stop him. It wasn’t long before Malone’s Four Elements’ buddies and RFW Tag Team Champions Marcus and Tommy V arrived to help him. Panov looked to be in trouble until Mark Blood and Shawn Roberts broke through the beachside crowd to back him up. A giant brawl broke out in and around the ring until The Four Elements retreated, watching Panov, Tornado, Blood, and Roberts from the aisle as they backed away.

That’s going to do it for another week of the Rapid Fire Festival. I will be back next week with more from the festival! See you then.
