World Champion and Wildhearts
Welcome back, Rapid Fire Fanatics! Shawn Roberts here. Our 2026 premiere opened with RFW Commissioner Aurora Starkey in the ring to introduce the Undisputed RFW Champion, Kassidy Fortune! Fortune defeated Alexandra Morgan at Final Round to retain the RFW World Championship and regain the RFW Wildheart Championship. The undisputed champion walked to the ring carrying both titles looking confident.
The commish congratulated Fortune on her accomplishment and said that she carried both titles proudly. Fortune took the microphone and admitted that it took time for the reality of being undisputed champion to set in. She was grateful and agreed that she felt pride in carrying two titles that mean so much to her.
Fortune then explained that each title has its place in RFW and she had spoke to Starkey about the future of both titles.
“I have spoken to Commissioner Starkey and we both agree that both of these titles need to be given the attention they deserve. Everybody knows the Wildheart is my baby and I want it to thrive so I have decided to relinquish the RFW Wildheart Championship so that a new, worthy wrestler can carry it into it next chapter.” -Kassidy Fortune
Fortune handed over the RFW Wildheart Championship belt to Commissioner Starkey who then announced a tournament, starting next week, with the finals held at our Spring Shockwave super show. The winner will be our next RFW Wildheart Champion!
Ruslan Panov vs. Andre Jordan
The last time we saw Ruslan Panov he hinted at his future in RFW involved the RFW Grand Championship. On this show, he faced off against a former RFW Grand Champion, Andre Jordan.
This match was competitive and athletic with Panov fighting hard against Jordan who was himself trying for a win to get back into the top ranks. It wasn’t meant to be for Jordan, though. Panov defeated Jordan by pin following a curb stomp.
Ruslan Panov looked great here in victory and was met at ringside by our own Kimberly Kennedy. Kennedy asked about Panov’s intentions for 2026.
“This is the year of do or die, Kimberly. I signed a contract for one more year with RFW and if I do not capture the Grand Championship by the time this contract expires, this will be my final RFW contract. My goal from day one was to win that championship. I’m putting the pressure on myself to get it done in 2026!” -Ruslan Panov
Panov warned the current champion, The Iconoclast, that he was coming for him.
Party Time
The Four Elements had a big win at Final Round with Tommy V and Marcus dethroning The Navigators and capturing the RFW Tag Team Championship. Marcus, Tommy V, Shannon Worth, and Killer Malone came to the ring to party, and they looked like they had already been partying for a while.
Worth led a toast to the new tag champs while Malone stood behind them and offered a casual tip of his beer bottle in salute to Marcus and Tommy V. Marcus gloated about The Four Elements dominance and Tommy V said they had only just begun.
“The way we see it, there’s a lot more to be done around here. We’ve got a list of conquests. These tag titles? They are just the beginning! It’s going to be a good year for the whole gang.” -Tommy V
The Four Elements celebration was interrupted by Cool Spencer and Paisley Alden who came to the ring to offer the group brownies in celebration! This odd connection between The Four Elements and Spencer and Alden has yet to be explained! Only Worth seemed to be receptive to Spencer and Alden being there though I will note that neither she or any of the other Elements tried the brownies.
Mikey Armstrong in Action!
Mikey Armstrong came to the ring for a match and was surprised when his former partner, Preston Montgomery, came to the ring to confront him. Montgomery explained that during his time away taking part in RFW’s training school he discovered the promotion’s next big star! Montgomery introduced Armstrong’s opponent, the debuting “Firehawk” Steve Curtis.
Mikey Armstrong vs. “Firehawk” Steve Curtis w/Preston Montgomery
This Steve Curtis guy looked like a roughneck cowboy ready to bring the hurt and that’s exactly what he did. I don’t know if Mikey Armstrong was thrown off by Preston Montgomery’s presence or if he just wasn’t prepared but Curtis had a strong showing right out of the gate. Armstrong battled back against Curtis’s brawling but in the end it was Curtis who flattened Armstrong with a lariat and covered him for a decisive win.
Steve Curtis has officially arrived in RFW and something tells me he is going to make a name for himself very quickly.
Maria Estrella vs. Yurei
Our main event featured two of RFW’s biggest women stars. Maria Estrella and Yurei put on an intense match with Yurei initially striking hard before Estrella overpowered her. The match was a tight contest with each woman showing off some of their best offense.
Yurei got the upper hand when the action spilled outside the ring and she softened up Estrella. Estrella made a late match comeback in the ring, however, and pinned Yurei following a running powerslam.
Maria Estrella was the big winner here but before she left he had a simple message for everyone in the crowd.
“So I heard the Wildheart is up for grabs, huh? And there’s a tournament? Well, this chica is looking for some gold. Count me in!” -Maria Estrella
Estrella wants in on the Wildheart tournament! I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t bet against her.
Kami King Returns
Final Round 2025 ended with the shocking return of Kami King. King left RFW after failing to capture the RFW World Championship in 2024. King has been hardened during her time away which was mostly spent as the top star in the short-lived, hardcore Grunge Club Pro Wrestling promotion. King arrived to close the show and talk about her big return.
King told the crowd she had to go away to find herself, her confidence, and to come back to continue her career goal of capturing the RFW World Championship.
“There is a great opportunity in RFW to win a tournament and become the RFW Wildheart Championship. As much as I respect that title and it would be an honor to hold it, that isn’t why I came back. You’ve all seen me fight with everything I have to win the World Championship and that is the prize I came back for. Kassidy Fortune, I am at your door.” -Kami King
Someone answered, but it wasn’t Kassidy Fortune. Alexandra Morgan came to the ring with Claudia Winter! Winter was about to speak but Morgan took the microphone and glared down at the much shorter King for a long moment.
“Who the hell do you think you are, you little runt! You couldn’t get it done in RFW so you ran away and now you come back with a makeover and suddenly think that you deserve to challenge for the world title? Get in line, sweetheart. I want a rematch with Kassidy and you won’t stand in my way. In fact, I will just walk over you.” -Alexandra Morgan
The tension rose until Morgan tried for a clothesline but King ducked and fired back. The two woman brawled in the ring until Winter hit King from behind and Morgan scooped her up and used a spinning side slam to end King’s return on a sour note.
That’s going to do it for this week’s Rapid Fire Wrestling. We’ll be back next week!
