It’s the last stop before Final Round! We’ve got plenty of action in and out of the ring and last minute matches made for Final Round. I’m Shawn Roberts, the voice of RFW, and I’ve got all the details you need to know on our final regular show of 2025!
Welcome to Rapid Fire Wrestling!
A Champion Challenged
The show began with the RFW Grand Champion The Iconoclast in the ring with his protege Dezzy Nightshade to talk about his title defense against Mark Blood next week at Final Round.
“Last week’s victory over Mr. Blood should be all you need to know about his chances at Final Round. His defeat last week was a sign of things to come next week.” -The Iconoclast
The Iconoclast was referencing last week’s main event when he pinned Blood in a mixed tag team match that included Nightshade and Mark’s sister, Tracy Blood. These comments brought out the Blood siblings to respond! Mark had thoughts about last week’s match because he saw the outcome a little differently.
“I’ll admit that you were the won who stood victorious last week but it came with a little help from Dezzy here, didn’t it. Yeah. You may be the Grand Champion around here but last week proved once again that you need Dezzy Nightshade to keep that belt.” -Mark Blood
The Iconoclast was not happy with Mark’s assessment and I thought these two were going to come to blows but it was actually Nightshade and Tracy who began swinging! RFW Commissioner Aurora Starkey came running out with security to break this one up and she made Tracy Blood vs. Dezzy Nightshade our main event for later in this show.
Keira Ryan vs. Yurei
Our opening match was a rematch, requested by Yurei, against Keira Ryan who has had a strong rookie season here in RFW. The match started in Yurei’s favor with her strong style offense winning out over Ryan’s more measured technical approach.
Ryan had a moment to shine as this match went on and she found a way to break Yurei’s offense. Ryan had a few close finishes but didn’t go far enough to keep Yurei down. The momentum shifted when Yurei made a late match comeback but when Yurei tried for a spear Ryan dove out of the way and Yurei went through the turnbuckle and hit the ring post. Ryan pulled Yurei to the match and rolled her up for a pin, winning the match!
Keira Ryan’s quick thinking earned her the win here and as Yurei recovered outside the ring she looked none too happy. I really enjoyed this match and the good news is that we are getting more of it! I got word from the Commish herself that these two will meet one more time at Final Round.
One More Time
Kimberly Kennedy was backstage with Phueng Ahunai who was eager to discuss, and I quote, “righting a wrong” last week.
“I told everyone that I was the next generation of RFW when I got here and I proved it last week. Lucia Mendez may have gotten a lucky win over me recently but last week I was right a wrong. I showed Lucia that I’m the future, she’s the past, and all is right with the world.” -Phueng Ahunai
Lucia Mendez did not agree! Mendez overheard this comment and challenged Ahunai, saying they need a tie breaker if Ahunai really wants that to be true. And we are getting that rematch at Final Round!
A Meet and Greet Gone Wrong
Earlier today, Jessie Vega was here at the RFW Arena for a meet-and-greet with fans. Vega seemed less than thrilled to be there and was complaining that she hadn’t received the accommodations that she requested from RFW. That sounds like something that Lee Lee Hunt would have taken care of had Vega not let her record label rep take the brunt of Maria Estrella’s attacks. I guess she was good for something after all!
Vega got upset after some fans grilled her about how she treated Estrella and Vega attempted to leave the signing early. As Vega stood up, she was pushed right back down by Estrella who held her in place by the shoulders. Estrella cheerfully invited people to take pictures of the pop music star.
Vega screamed that Estrella was going to pay for torturing her but Estrella said she hasn’t been tortured nearly enough! Estrella slammed Vega’s head into the table causing Vega to fall to the floor. Estrella pulled Vega up by the collar and held her there making sure she heard one message loud and clear.
“Listen to me very closely, love. Next week at Final Round, you are going to feel every single pain that you made me feel tenfold. It’s a night you will never, ever stop feeling.” -Maria Estrella
Vega was shoved away and the two stared long and hard at each other before Estrella walked off.
Paisley Alden w/Cool Spencer vs. Goldie Phish
Paisley Alden came to the ring for a match against a guest opponent, Gulf Coast Slammin’s own Goldie Phish! Cool Spencer was hanging out at ringside giving Alden encouragement as this match got rolling. It worked, at first, but Phish turned a dropkick into a half crab that quickly turned the momentum of this match against Alden.
Phish went for a pin late in this match but Spencer caused a distraction for the referee. This brought out Spencer’s former Lost Cause partners Rus Samson and Ridge who pulled Spencer off the apron. Alden saw this and started yelling at Samson and Ridge but taking her eyes off of Phish was a mistake. Alden turned around and into a DDT that sealed her fate. Phish covered for another pin and won this match!
Goldie Phish picked up a big win here in her guest spot. What a fun surprise! Unless you are Paisley Alden. Post match, we saw Spencer and Samson come to blows before Ridge pulled Samson away. And, yes, we’ll see Cool Spencer and Rus Samson collide next week at Final Round.
High Stakes
Backstage, Kenneth Cobb was seen speaking with his wife on speaker phone. And it wasn’t pleasant.
“I don’t get it, Kenny. You said this RFW place was going to be good for us. But that creepy guy came to our house and then you got arrested in a fight with him at a night club! The kids have questions and I don’t know what to tell them. You need to fix this. Fix this, Kenny!” -Kenneth Cobb’s Wife
Cobb looked defeated as he hung up the phone but as he stood up, he came face-to-face with, yep, Andre Jordan. It turns out that last week’s trip to the slammer was bad for both Cobb and Jordan.
“Man, how dare you come ruin my party last week. Because of your little stunt, I’m no longer the spokesman for Unstoppable. They dumped me, bro! My endorsement deal is cancelled and it’s all your fault. I should smack the insomnia off of your stupid face right now.” -Andre Jordan
Cobb looked unimpressed and took a long moment to squeeze the bridge of his nose and lick his lips before responding.
“Listen. Bro. You think you’ve got it bad. I have a whole lot more on the line than your dopey sports drink that, by the way, nobody has ever heard of. You can smack me now but you might as well save it for next week because I spoke to Aurora Starkey earlier today and we’ve got a match next week at Final Round. Oh, and Andre? It’s no holds barred.” -Kenneth Cobb
Jordan looked real concerned about this news but told Cobb he’d cave his face in. Cobb promised that he would be the unstoppable one. Either way, expect this one to be ugly.
Keep It In The Ring
Meghan DeWitt and Annika have had one of the more visceral feuds this year and after a nasty fight that ended up in our parking lot last week I am surprised either one of them were able to show up this week. But show up they did. DeWitt came to the ring, limping slightly from jamming her knee into a car door, and called out Annika to fight her in the ring.
Annika, whose forehead had a nice ol’ goose egg from hitting that same car’s window (hey whose car was that, anyway?), came running down ready to brawl. No chit chat here. These two women immediately came to blows!
This fight spilled out of the ring and into the crowd much like last week. We didn’t get another parking lot brawl, though, because the Commish, who has been busy tonight, came out by herself, pushed through the crowd, and pulled DeWitt and Annika apart.
“This is absolutely out of control! The two of you listen to me! If you want to fight so bad, great. You can do that next week at Final Round but I need it to stay in the ring. I can think of only one way to ensure that happens. Steel Cage Match!” -Aurora Starkey
Whoa! This feud has brought out the steel cage, one of the most dangerous matches in RFW. I can’t wait to see how brutal this fight is when it’s confined to the ring.
Rex Anarchy vs. Ruslan Panov
Ah yes, if we didn’t already have enough blood feuds going on in RFW, there is the continuing saga of Rex Anarchy and Ruslan Panov. These two were bitter enemies, then partners, and now enemies again. We go the latest battle in this ongoing saga and it was an intense as you’d expect.
Not a lot of technical prowess in this one, no sir. Panov and Anarchy are brawlers by nature and they hate each other so we got a hard hitting fight in the ring that saw Anarchy getting the best of Panov early on until Panov surprised his foe with a spine buster. Panov was clearly releasing pent up frustration with Anarchy and looked to have this match going in his favor until Anarchy hit the turnbuckle and stayed there, untying the turnbuckle pad. This brought the referee over to stop him and while the referee fixed the pad, Anarchy kicked Panov in the nether regions. Panov was stunned and fell victim to a fisherman suplex. Anarchy covered for the win.
Rex Anarchy is your winner here but I think we can all agree this tainted victory shouldn’t go unanswered. We’ll see these two again, one-on-one, at Final Round!
Mia Mercury
It’s been a rough season for Mia Mercury. The first ever RFW Wildheart Champion had been dealing with complications of an old knee injury and her intense rivalry with Annika pushed that joint beyond its limit. Mercury had surgery on her knee to fix a litany of issues but she arrived on crutches at the RFW Arena to address the audience in an interview at ringside with Kimberly Kennedy. I’m just going to give you her entire message.
“Kimberly, I’m not in condition to join you all next week in Greensboro for Final Round but since I live close to the RFW Arena I felt I needed to come out here and talk to our awesome fans about what’s up with me.
“About four years ago, I blew out my knee while I was in Wildheart Wrestling Club. I rehabbed, I made it here to RFW, and it’s been a real dream come true. But the thing is, I knew that I was on borrowed time and someday I was going to have to deal with this old injury. I did ok for a while but this year hasn’t been so great and I finally pushed too far. Torn cartilage, a fracture, tendon damage, it was a mess in there. I’m happy to say that surgery was a success and while it’ll be a while before I can get back in that ring I promise you it’ll be worth the wait!
“Before I go, I do have to be honest with all of you. Being in RFW has been incredibly rewarding and I am honored to be a part of it but it’s been a while since I felt like I was truly thriving here. I think I’ve been spinning my wheels for too long and I am due for a change. Maybe this break is what I need to reset and not come back as a better Mia Mercury but a new Mia Mercury. Tonight ends my first chapter in RFW. When I come back, it’s the start of the next chapter of my career. I promise you all that you won’t want to miss it. Thank you so much! I love you all! See you down the road!” -Mia Mercury
Positive news from Mia Mercury! It’ll be a while before we see her back in the RFW ring but I know I’m jazzed to see what she does next!
Outnumbered
The Navigators may not be wearing the belts but they are our RFW Tag Team Champions. The belts themselves are in the hands of their opponents at Final Round, The Four Elements! The Four Elements came down to the ring with bottles of liquor and toasted Marcus and Tommy V for being the champions. Clearly, they don’t understand how this works.
“This is to a pair of real ones, legends in this business, and two guys who are finally getting their due. Marcus, Tommy, you took what belonged to you and now everybody knows who the top team in this business is. To the real RFW Tag Team Champs--” -Shannon Worth
And out came those real tag champs, The Navigators. Worth was not happy to be cut off from her speech and was furious with Aidan North and Pete Arrow lobbing fists on Tommy V and Marcus. Of course, once again, The Navigators were outnumbered and it didn’t take long for Worth and Killer Malone to join Marcus and Tommy V in beating them down.
This brought out the Commish once again to call an end to the four-on-two assault.
“The four of you think that holding those prestigious belts is enough to be champions? You are delusional. You need to earn those titles and you’ll get that chance next week. But Marcus, Tommy, you need to listen closely. It’s the two of you against The Navigators. It’s not The Four Elements. If Shannon Worth or Killer Malone make an appearance at ringside before or during your match, you’ll be disqualified and all four of you will never be allowed to compete for a title in this company ever again!” -Aurora Starkey
Commissioner Starkey laying down the law big time on this one. The Four Elements would be wise to play this one straight at Final Round.
Tracy Blood vs. Dezzy Nightshade
As promised, our main event featured Tracy Blood against Dezzy Nightshade. Nightshade overpowered Blood early in this match and used her strength advantage to keep the former MMA fighter grounded. That all turned around when Nightshade went for a brain buster and Blood shifted her weight to get free from the hold. Blood landed on her feet and immediately blasted Nightshade with swift kicks to her body before dropping her with a DDT.
Blood was quick to stay on the offensive but missed a head kick and Nightshade made a brief offensive comeback. Blood got back in control, lined up another head kick, but Nightshade spit purple mist in her face! The ref called for the DQ, ending this one. Blood stood there confused and walked into the hands of Nightshade who dropped her with a chokeslam power bomb.
Dezzy Nightshade continued to attack a compromised Tracy Blood until Mark Blood ran down to the ring. Mark didn’t see that The Iconoclast had jumped the barricade from the crowd and hit him with a nasty clothesline before he could get in the ring! The Iconoclast used a chokeslam powerbomb on Mark right on the floor. The champion and his protege made a strong statement one week prior to his match with Mark Blood. I also learned that Tracy Blood and Dezzy Nightshade will meet in a rematch at Final Round!
A Legacy To Live Up To
Claudia Winter escorted her client, the RFW Wildheart Champion, Alexandra Morgan to the ring and told the audience that Morgan had something to day to Kassidy Fortune, the RFW World Champion and Morgan’s opponent at Final Round.
Morgan called out Fortune, who came down to the ring and the two stood face-to-face. Morgan was very upset about Fortune’s accusation that she is only trying to win the World Championship for herself. As it turns out, Morgan sees this whole situation differently.
“You need to understand who you are dealing with, Kassidy. I am Alexandra Morgan. I am a second generation wrestler and the last wrestler left here with ties to SCSF. Winning the World Championship isn’t just about me and my goals. It’s about my father, Rock On. It’s about my mentor, Hardcore Adam. It’s about Tornado. Hell, it’s even about the legacy of the old MoW. This is bigger than me! This is about my family. My blood!” -Alexandra Morgan
Fortune looked taken aback here. I don’t think she expected Morgan to feel this way. Fortune made a genuine attempt to apologize and wanted to have a great match with Morgan to celebrate everything their respective titles mean to wrestling.
Morgan accepted Fortune’s apology and extended a handshake. The two stood together in the ring holding up their title belts while Claudia Winter looked confused and perhaps a bit dismayed by the show of sportsmanship. But then... Morgan clotheslined Fortune and crushed her into the mat with multiple spinning side slams. Morgan stood over Fortune and held up both the Wildheart and the World Championship belts. Is this a sign to come next week? I can’t wait to find out!
That’s going to do it for this this final show of the fall season. Next week, it’s the biggest super show of the year. Final Round 2025! Here’s what we’ve got coming for you on the card. See you then, Rapid Fire Fanatics!
