Location: RFW Arena in Atlanta, GA

Hello, Rapid Fire Fanatics! I am Shawn Roberts, the voice of RFW, and we have an action-packed show for you. Our main event pits Lost Cause against Eric Waves and Chucky Arter to determine the next challengers for the Tag Team Championship, Hector Diaz continues his fight against Lords of Chaos, Phueng Ahunai takes on Mia Mercury, we hear from Lucia Mendez, and so much more. Let’s get into it! Welcome to Rapid Fire Wrestling!

Hector Diaz vs. Rex Anarchy w/Ruslan Panov

The issues between Hector Diaz and the new version of Lords of Chaos have been brewing since last year and despite being outnumbered, Diaz hasn’t backed down from them and faced Rex Anarchy in our opening bout.

This was a strong opening and anyone who has been following Diaz throughout his time in RFW has surely noticed his continual improvement. Diaz looked great against the veteran Anarchy though Anarchy’s experience showed as the action went back and forth. Ruslan Panov’s presence at ringside was a concern for Diaz and proved to be warranted because Panov jumped into the ring as Diaz looked to finish off Anarchy, causing a disqualification.

Hector Diaz won this match by disqualification but was left lying in the ring at the hands of Lords of Chaos.

Old Rivals, New Roles, New Challenger

We got eyes backstage in RFW Commissioner Aurora Starkey’s office as she was visited by her longtime Wildheart Wrestling Club rival and current RFW World Champion, Kassidy Fortune. Fortune and Starkey had a cordial conversation here with Fortune congratulating Starkey on her Commissioner position and Starkey impressed with Fortune’s continuing championship accomplishments.

It was going so well until Fortune got a little too cocky about her position as champion and her desire for some good competition.

“You want someone who will really put your skills to the test. I get it, yeah. I think I have just the person, too. She’s no pushover. In fact, she’s turned out to be one of the most badass women in our sport. Vicious when she needs to be. And lucky for you, we’ve already got her on the roster so I can slot her in for a title match against you at our season finale, Spring Shockwave. Ah, and here she is now. Kassidy Fortune, meet your next opponent, Annika.” -Aurora Starkey

Annika approached Fortune and looked her up and down. Fortune gritted her teeth before shaking Annika’s hand and saying she was looking forward to their encounter.

Going It Alone

Maria Estrella was backstage lacing up her boots for a match and asked Jessie Vega if she was ready to join her ringside. Vega had no chance to respond because, you guessed it, Lee Lee Hunt, her record label rep, stepped in and suggested Vega hang back so they could discuss some details regarding her upcoming album.

Vega apologized to Estrella, kissed her on the cheek, and wished her good luck in her match. Estrella didn’t look too happy here and walked toward the ring on her own.

Maria Estrella vs. Paisley Alden

She may not have had her girlfriend by her side but Maria Estrella came to the ring looking ready to take on Lost Cause’s Paisley Alden. It should be noted that Alden was also alone because Cool Spencer and Rus Samson were preparing for their main event match.

Alden was looking good here throughout the match but every time she was gaining the upper hand on Estrella, Estrella overcame her using her strength advantage. Alden fought hard here but it was Estrella who won by pinfall after a running powerslam.

Maria Estrella stood with her arms raised in an impressive victory. Backstage, Jessie Vega and Lee Lee Hunt watched on a monitor. Hunt had an ominous directive for her pop star.

“Jessie. Attention here. I need your commitment on this. You need to follow through on what we talked about.” -Lee Lee Hunt

Vega looked at Hunt with a note of unease on her face and nodded. What is going on here?

Meeting Cancelled

We got another look backstage where Claudia Winter and her new project, Alexandra Morgan, were waiting at the door of our illustrious Commissioner.

“I am going to fix this. Phueng Ahunai can walk into RFW and get a title match? Just like that? I don’t think so. Commissioner Starkey needs to understand just who Alexandra Morgan is! Don’t worry. I am going to get you what you deserve.” -Claudia Winter

Morgan was silent but it was clear she was raging inside. A voice from behind her said “Hey! Meeting is cancelled!” and Morgan was hit from behind by Shannon Worth! Winter jumped back in shock while Worth and Morgan brawled down the hallway. Winter tried to get involved but was neutralized with a spinning elbow by Worth. Worth and Morgan traded blows until backstage officials broke them up.

Phueng Ahunai vs. Mia Mercury w/Meghan DeWitt

Hey! Speaking of Phueng Ahunai, she may have a shot at Meghan DeWitt’s RFW Wildheart Championship in two weeks at New Era Eruption but this week she had to go through DeWitt’s friend Mia Mercury.

DeWitt was on hand ringside to cheer on Mercury as she and Ahunai had a hotly contested match. Ahunai has shown confidence from day one here in RFW and that was on display here as she held her own against the quick and often airborne Mercury. Ahunai got caught with an arm drag that allowed Mercury the chance to get in on the offense.

Mercury hit Ahunai with a huge German suplex from the turnbuckle that surely rattled the Thai superstar but Ahunai kicked out of a pin. Mercury was looking red hot here as the match continued but Ahunai dodged Mercury’s signature flying elbow and was able to get herself back into this match. The action continued to go back and forth but Ahunai used an impressive overhead flip neckbreaker combo before covering Mercury and picking up the win.

Phueng Ahunai was awarded the victory here and celebrated by taunting Meghan DeWitt on the outside. Our RFW Wildheart Champion has a serious challenge ahead of her.

Lucia Mendez Explains What Happened

So, last week was supposed to be a celebratory moment for our RFW Grand Champion Andre Jordan. The guy is on top of the world and in his excited, he proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Lucia Mendez. Unfortunately for Jordan, Mendez rejected the proposal and our very own Kimberly Kennedy stood in the ring with Mendez to talk about what happened.

Mendez explained that she and Jordan had talked about marriage and she thought they were in agreement that they didn’t need to be married. Mendez felt blindsided and humiliated by Jordan proposing publicly.

“What happened last week was terrible for both of us and, for now, Andre and I are no longer together. He has his own career priorities to worry about and I have goals of my own that I want to accomplish here.” -Lucia Mendez

Mendez had more to say but Dezzy Nightshade came out to interrupt. Nightshade called Mendez selfish for breaking Jordan’s spirit but thanked her for assuring The Iconoclast could defeat RFW’s “broken champion” (her words, not mine!).

Mendez struck Nightshade and the two began to fight until The Iconoclast appeared and pulled Mendez off Nightshade. The Iconoclast’s presence brought out Jordan to come to Mendez’s aid. Jordan was successful in helping Mendez fend off her attackers but she walked away from him when he tried to reconcile with her.

Lost Cause vs. Eric Waves and Chucky Arter

Our main event was a high stakes tag team match with the winners getting a title shot against The Navigators at New Era Eruption. Eric Waves and Chucky Arter wasted no time making an impact in RFW last week but Lost Cause are former RFW Tag Team Champions looking for a second run.

Lost Cause may have a reputation as slackers but Cool Spencer set the pace early in this match and traded tags with Rus Samson often. Lost Cause looked truly great here but Arter and Waves were not willing to miss their time to shine and fought back as the match continued.

Arter nearly pinned Spencer but a kick out kept the match alive. Spencer struggled to get to his corner before Arter tagged in Waves who stopped Spencer and tried to get this match wrapped up. Spencer used a mule kick to subdue Waves just long enough for Big Rus to hop through the ropes and bulldoze over Waves. Samson dominated the late minutes of this match but Waves survived the onslaught, tagged in Arter, and somehow this thing devolved into a tornado tag with both teams battling it out in the ring!

The referee restored order, Samson and Arter both dug deep, but it was Arter, with some strong teamwork with Waves, who covered Samson for a pin and won the match. This was a hard-fought bout from both teams but when the dust settled Arter and Waves found themselves in line for a title shot.

Lost Cause regrouped and congratulated Chucky Arter and Eric Waves with a handshake. The number one contenders celebrated but their celebration was interrupted by the RFW Tag Team Champions, The Navigators.

“Eric Waves. Chucky Arter. What can I say? This is our house and I suppose the polite thing to do is welcome you to Rapid Fire Wrestling. But here’s the thing. In two weeks we meet head-to-head and that feel good feeling you have right now will be taken away because reality is going to hit! You can be a great team here, but you aren’t The Navigators.” -Pete Arrow

Strong words from Pete Arrow but to their credit, Arter and Waves looked eager to test themselves against the tag champs! That’s going to do it for us. We’ll see you next week!
