Location: RFW Arena in Atlanta, GA

Welcome back, Rapid Fire Fanatics! I’m Shawn Roberts, the voice of Rapid Fire Wrestling, and I am just as excited as you are to get into this new season of RFW. We’ve got a lot to cover. Did you hear we have a new Commissioner? We do! Her name is Aurora Starkey. But before we get to our Starkey-led new era, someone stopped by to kick off the show with honor. So let’s get into it! Welcome to Rapid Fire Wrestling!

Transfer of Power

Tiger Johnson may have retired from the position as RFW Commissioner but he wasn’t going to walk into the sunset without saying goodbye, oh no! Johnson kicked off the show by coming to the ring thank RFW, the wrestlers he worked with over the years and, finally, thanking you, the fans.

“I was proud to do this job and work hard to give you the best show you could ask for. You, the fans, were always what drove me to do my best as a competitor and later to do my best as Commissioner. I had to come out here to say thank you for your support and for letting me care for this wrestling promotion you love. Nothing lasts forever and the time was right for me to step aside. Lucky for you, the new RFW Commissioner is the perfect person to lead this great promotion and I would like to introduce her right now. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the new RFW Commissioner, Aurora Starkey!” -Tiger Johnson

Aurora Starkey came to the ring, shook hands with Johnson, and thanked him for his hard work, admitting she had big shoes to fill. Johnson made his exit and Starkey committed to bringing out the best in RFW with a revamped roster, new ideas, and more hard-hitting action.

“Today is the first day of a new era here in RFW. I welcome you to this exciting ride we are about to take together and am excited for you to see what we have in store. Welcome to RFW in 2025!” -Aurora Starkey

And with that, we transition from the Tiger Johnson era to the Aurora Starkey era.

Eric Waves and Chucky Arter vs. Preston Montgomery and Mikey Armstrong

We began the action with the official roster debut of Eric Waves and Chucky Arter. Seriously, what took RFW so long to hire these guys! The duo looked excited to get started here. On the other side of the ring, Preston Montgomery and Mikey Armstrong look ready to put 2024 behind them after surviving the implosion of The Diamond Peak.

Waves and Arter looked great here from the start, though Armstrong broke their offense and began to turn things around. Armstrong and Montgomery worked well together but Montgomery couldn’t maintain the momentum. Arter got back in control and after a series of tags and team moves, Waves hit a moonsault on Montgomery and pinned him to win the match.

Eric Waves and Chucky Arter looked thrilled to put their first win on the record books. I have a feeling these guys are going to give the tag team division a real shot of adrenaline. Outside the ring, a visibly frustrated Preston Montgomery was consoled by Mikey Armstrong.

Shakeup in the Office

Everyone’s favorite band of misfit, Lost Cause, showed up at Aurora Starkey’s office looking for Delilah where they were met with some unexpected news. Starkey informed them that their friend was Tiger Johnson’s assistant but she doesn’t need one and Delilah has been dismissed.

Starkey noticed that Lost Cause was nervous so she set the record straight.

“Look, I get it. Tiger Johnson didn’t like you guys and Delilah helped you out around here. But I like you. I think you bring something unique to RFW and have some good news for you. Next week, in the main event, I am putting Lost Cause in a match with Chucky Arter and Eric Waves to determine who will face The Navigators for the RFW Tag Team Championship at New Era Eruption. How’s that sound?” -Aurora Starkey

Rus Samson and Cool Spencer high fived and thanked Starkey. Paisley Alden was so excited she went to hug Starkey but the Commissioner held out a firm hand and stopped her. No touching the commish, Paisley.

Siobhan Wild vs. Phueng Ahunai

We went back to the ring to see the debut of Phueng Ahunai who signed with RFW during the off-season, coming to us from HAW where she is a former HAW Women’s Tag Team Champion. Ahunai stepped into the ring with Siobhan Wild.

Ahunai came to the ring with great fanfare, wearing a fancy gown and expensive jewelry over her ring gear as she walked to the ring in a spotlight and looked every bit a superstar. Her appearance did not phase Wild who immediately went on offense at the onset of this match. Wild springboarded off the ropes but Ahunai knocked her out of the air with a jump kick and immediately changed the momentum in this match. Ahunai used an aggressive, yet technical offense to wear down Wild before finishing her off with a dragon suplex and a pin.

Phueng Ahunai stood confident and proud in the ring as our own Kimberly Kennedy stepped through the ropes to interview our newest star. Kennedy congratulated Ahunai on her victory and asked what her first goal was as part of RFW.

“Uh, Kim, was it? You do the interviews around here? Get used to this because you’ll be seeing a lot more of me. My name is Phueng Ahunai and I am the next generation of RFW, of this industry, and my first goal is to carry some gold. Meghan DeWitt. I see you. I want that Wildheart Championship you carry. It would look pretty on me.” -Phueng Ahunai

There you have it. Phueng Ahunai wasting no time getting started here in RFW.

Challenge Acceped

While Phueng Ahunai was laying out her grand strategy, Meghan DeWitt and Mia Mercury were watching her on a backstage monitor. DeWitt acknowledged Ahunai’s challenge and sounded confident that she could defeat her newest challenger. Mercury fist bumped DeWitt and said she believed in her.

“You know something, Mia? This will be my sixth year here in RFW and in all that time I was always in someone’s shadow, told I was some second rate copycat, and used for someone else’s gain. Nobody ever believed in me. Except you. I am sorry I didn’t see that sooner.” -Meghan DeWitt

Mercury pointed to DeWitt and told her she just needed to believe in herself but added that she’ll always have DeWitt’s back.

The New Lords of Chaos

We were getting ready for our main event when Rex Anarchy and Ruslan Panov walked down to the ring. These two rivals seemingly formed an alliance back at Final Round and decided to let us all know about it on their schedule. Is there no respect for scheduling around here anymore?

Anyway, Anarchy and Panov were both wearing Lords of Chaos t-shirts which longtime RFW fans will remember as a dominant faction led by Anarchy. Panov revealed that, yes, Lords of Chaos are back and are taking what they want. Anarchy provided further explanation for his alliance with Panov.

“This guy right here woke me up. I was directionless. I stopped being the guy who did what I wanted when I wanted and took what I wanted when I wanted it. I used to make my own opportunities around here. I lost that. Thanks to Ruslan Panov, I remembered who I am and how to get things done. You idiots in the locker room pay close attention. There is no protection for any of you. If you have something we want or are in the way of what we want, we will remove you.” -Rex Anarchy

Panov said they will rule RFW or burn it to the ground trying but I’ll tell you who didn’t take too kindly to these threats and that’s Hector Diaz! Diaz came through the crowd, baseball bat in hand, leaped the barricade, and started swinging at the Lords of Chaos! Diaz made a statement for sure but a baseball bat wasn’t enough to beat the numbers game and Lords of Chaos left Diaz lying in the ring.

Shannon Worth vs. Alexandra Morgan w/Claudia Winter

Our main event was born from a wild turn of events at Final Round where Claudia Winter shockingly defeated Shannon Worth because of interference from Alexandra Morgan. Worth came prepared for a fight against Winter’s newest protege.

I have to say, Morgan has always been a powerhouse and looked the part but she looked more fit than ever here and showed off her strength by thwarting Worth’s early offense. Worth did not seem intimidated and struck Morgan several times to break her momentum before exploding with a series of throws and suplexes.

Worth lined up Morgan for a spinning elbow but Winter grabbed Morgan’s ankles and pulled her out of the ring to safety. Worth followed, taking out Winter with a brutal clothesline but was struck from behind by Morgan who rolled her back into the ring.

This match hit a fever pitch with each woman trying their best to win this but when the referee had his eyes on Morgan and Worth got close to the ropes Winter pulled her throat-first across the top rope. Morgan rushed over to Worth, used a spinning side slam, and pinned Worth for the win.

Kimberly Kennedy stepped through the ropes to interview the victorious Alexandra Morgan and Claudia Winter about their new alliance. Morgan explained her reasoning for siding with Winter.

“Isn’t it obvious, Kimberly? Claudia Winter produces champions and I want to be a champion. Claudia is done with The Diamond Peak. Now, she is focused on me and me alone. I promise you this. Great things are about to happen.” -Alexandra Morgan

Winter was about to add something but we don’t know what that was because Shannon Worth got back in the ring and dumped her over the ropes before brawling with Morgan. Morgan escaped the ring and retreated with Winter while Worth taunted them.

Andre Jordan’s Championship Celebration

Final Round 2024 was a special night for Andre Jordan, a longtime RFW wrestler who finally captured the big prize by ending Mark Blood’s epic title reign to become the new RFW Grand Champion. Our new champion came to the ring, joined by his partner Lucia Mendez, to address the fans and his future as champion.

Jordan said it took a long time to get to the top of the mountain and he fell down that mountain several times but never gave up trying. He looked ahead at his first challenge as champion.

“I just met with Aurora Starkey. Y’all remember The Iconoclast interrupted my celebration at Final Round, right? Yeah, I didn’t forget, either. May 24th, at Spring Shockwave, The Iconoclast gets his title shot. Iconoclast, we’ve already done battle. You may be fearsome but I don’t fear you. You bring your best. You are going to need it!” -Andre Jordan

Jordan then turned to Lucia Mendez. He and Mendez have been together for most of their times here in RFW and Jordan said he wouldn’t be standing here as champion without her at his side. Mendez blushed and looked at Jordan with pride. Jordan then got down on one knee as the audience began buzzing.

“Lucia, I couldn’t imagine going through this life without you. I love you more than anything else on this earth. I know we said we didn’t need to get married but, baby, everything feels so right in this moment. Lucia Mendez, will you marry me?” -Andre Jordan

It hurts to report this but Jordan looked up at Mendez expectantly only to have her look away with tears in her eyes, pull away, and retreat from the ring. Jordan dropped the microphone and rushed to catch up with her, even leaving behind the RFW Grand Championship belt. That’s where this show ended, fans. We’ll have to find out what is going on with these two next week. We will see you then.
