Semifinal Tournament Match
Killer Malone vs. The Iconoclast w/Dezzy Nightshade
Killer Malone and The Iconoclast clashed in a hard-hitting opening match to determine who would go to the finals of the RFW Grand Championship tournament.
The Iconoclast came out strong at the beginning of the match but Malone powered his way into the offensive. The match was a test of endurance between two of the toughest wrestlers in RFW. Malone missed a knockout punch and minutes later The Iconoclast missed a corner cannonball.
Both men engaged in a fist fight that Malone was beginning to win until The Iconoclast slammed him with a spinebuster. The fight continued but it was The Iconoclast that won the match by pinfall after a nasty chokeslam powerbomb.
This victory put The Iconoclast one step away from the RFW Grand Championship with his opponent to be determined later in the night.
The Diamond Peak’s Next Moves
Claudia Winter led The Diamond Peak to the ring with an announcement about big matches for Shannon Worth and Meghan DeWitt at the upcoming Mayday in Memphis supershow.
“There are two championships in the women’s division here in RFW and by the end of Mayday in Memphis, The Diamond Peak will hold both of them. Shannon Worth will challenge Kassidy Fortune for the RFW Wildheart Championship and Meghan DeWitt will challenge Cate Stiles for the RFW World Championship.” -Claudia Winter
DeWitt expressed her excitement over the opportunity while Preston Montgomery looked proud of his teammates. Worth, however, was not pleased and was quick to let Winter know.
“Have you lost your mind? You are giving her my spot! That world title is my baby and I am the one who deserves that match. You let Meghan steal my spot! How could you? Claudia, how could you?” -Shannon Worth
DeWitt assured Worth she was ready for Cate Stiles but Worth would hear nothing of it. Winter calmed the situation by suggesting the plan was better for everyone, especially Worth, because she can become the first woman to hold both the RFW World Championship and RFW Wildheart Championship. Worth looked unhappy but calmed down and stood united with The Diamond Peak.
Kassidy Fortune Responds
Kimberly Kennedy was backstage with RFW Wildheart Champion Kassidy Fortune to get her reaction to the news that Shannon Worth would be challenging her for the title at Mayday in Memphis.
“Did you just see what I saw? Kimberly, I am ready to defend against anyone, including a great athlete and champion like Shannon Worth, but it looks like Shannon has problems with her own teammates and I don’t think she is even interested in this, the RFW Wildheart Championship, the most prestigious title in all of wrestling. I will show her what it means to be the Wildheart Champion. She’d better be ready for her reality check.” -Kassidy Fortune
Fortune walked away with confidence as Kennedy invited the audience to join Jessie Vega and Maria Estrella for a day at the spa.
Spa Day
Jessie Vega and Maria Estrella were shown at an upscale spa receiving full body massages. Vega thanked Estrella for setting up their romantic day.
The scene switched to later in their visit where the women received pedicures while reclined in comfortable chairs wearing facial masks. Another woman was sitting next to them and asked if they were Vega and Estrella from Rapid Fire Wrestling. Estrella confirmed that they were and after some small talk, Estrella asked the woman who her favorite wrestler was. The woman said her favorite was Mary Jane Elder which caused Vega to become defensive and call Elder a nobody.
The woman pulled off her facial mask to reveal herself as Elder before standing up and giving Vega and Estrella some parting words before walking out.
“Yeah, what do I know? I guess I am just a nobody. I’ll leave you both to enjoy the rest of your day. Oh! And do enjoy those facials. Green will look good on you.” -Mary Jane Elder
Vega and Estrella looked at each other confused and then slowly pulled their masks off to find their faces had been stained a dark green. Vega exploded into a rage while Estrella began sobbing ending their spa day on a bad note.
Alexandra Morgan vs. Lucia Mendez w/Andre Jordan
Alexandra Morgan, fresh off a split from her Lost Cause teammates, met Lucia Mendez in action. Morgan was the aggressor throughout the match and though Mendez had a strong offense during the match Morgan defeated her with a spinning slam.
The Navigators Cause a Storm
Kimberly Kennedy interviewed the RFW Tag Team Champions The Navigators backstage. The Navigators were happy they got rid of Lost Cause as champions but felt they still had work to do to rehabilitate the tag team division. Pete Arrow remarked that the tag team division hasn’t been great in a long time.
This comment got the attention of Tornado and Ridge. Ridge defended Tornado and Hardcore Adam’s championship run a year ago and said it was a highlight of RFW. Tornado wondered about The Navigators’ mindset.
“What happened to you guys? You were always competitive but I never would have considered you to be so disrespectful. We were all glad to see you come back but quite honestly things were fine here without you.” -Tornado
Aidan North called Tornado delusional prompting Tornado and Ridge to challenge The Navigators to a match next week.
Kami King Calls Out Yurei
Kami King entered the ring and wasted no time calling out Yurei. King said Tracy Blood was at home nursing multiple injuries caused by Yurei and she demanded Yurei answer for her actions.
Yurei came to the ring with an amused smile on her face. Yurei refused to apologize for injuring Blood.
“I do not apologize because Tracy Blood weak fighter! Weak like her friends.” -Yurei
King challenged Yurei to a match next week. Yurei accepted and then tried to strike King. King dodged and super kicked Yurei, sending her through the ropes to the floor. Yurei recovered and was enraged as she yelled at King who stood her ground in the ring.
Semifinal Tournament Match
Mark Blood vs. Ruslan Panov
The main event of the show saw Mark Blood and Russian Panov competing in a semifinal match in the RFW Grand Championship tournament.
Panov stopped Blood’s efforts early in the match and held a strong offense until Blood blocked a suplex and countered with one of his own. Blood began working on Panov’s back and shoulders. Panov found himself in a Boston Crab but was able to free himself of the hold.
Blood missed a clothesline and was hit by a forearm smash from Panov on the rebound. Panov began a strong comeback with many close pinfalls. Blood made a late match comeback of his own and secured victory by pinfall following a tombstone piledriver.
With this victory, Mark Blood advanced to the finals and set to face The Iconoclast next week at RFW’s 100th show. Blood celebrated the win in the ring while The Iconoclast and Dezzy Nightshade appeared in the aisle to watch. Blood and The Iconoclast stared at each other from a distance and gave each other a knowing nod that their encounter next week would be a difficult challenge for both of them.
