MoW Presents: Merry Mayhem II
Location: Shreveport, LA
Final Round may be over but we have one more gift for the MoW fans with our second annual Merry Mayhem show. Enjoy the action and entertainment and we will see you again in 2024!
Samson Claus
Alexandra Morgan, Cool Spencer, and Paisley Alden of Lost Cause splayed out on various chairs in a haze of smoke backstage. The group watched curiously as a large shape approached them through the smoke. The shape was Lost Cause’s fourth member, Rus Samson, dressed as Santa Claus but without the big white beard and the coat sleeves were torn off exposing his large biceps.
Though there was no mistaking Samson, Alden screeched that Santa had come. Samson opened up his bag of presents.
“Hey hey hey! Merry Christmas! I see you kids have been good all year and I brought you some presents as a reward! For you, Paisley, a cheese sandwich and some individual snack bags for those munchies. And for you Alexandra, my dear, some bubbly with these fancy plastic stemware glasses. And for you, uh, Cool, I have the most special gift of all.” -Rus Samson
Samson pulled Spencer’s MoW Team Championship belt from the bag and handed it to his tag team partner. Samson revealed his belt under the Santa suit and proclaimed this to be the best holiday season in MoW history.
Spencer was thrilled to be teaming up with Santa and Lost Cause collectivity cheered chanted “Santa! Santa!”
Annika vs. Yurei
Annika came to the ring for a match against Yurei who made her surprise return to MoW. Yurei wasted no time showing she meant business with a flurry of blows to Annika before driving her to the mat with a brainbuster.
Annika recovered and responded with strikes of her own followed by a series of submission attempts. Annika tried for an arm breaker but Yurei used pure strength to pick Annika up and slam her to the mat to break the hold.
The action continued with both women refusing to give in. Yurei missed a spear, hit the turnbuckle, and Annika pulled her down into an arm breaker. Yurei was forced to submit and Annika picked up a big victory.
Annika showed the effects of the battle but celebrated her win. Yurei came up short in her return but left her mark as a forced to be reckoned with in 2024.
Chez Everett vs. Mia Mercury
Mia Mercury had a breakout moment in the spring by becoming the first MoW Wildheart Champion. Chez Everett looked for her own breakout moment by trying to defeat the former champion.
Everett was dominant in the opening minutes of the match and nearly picked up a pinfall after a vicious snap DDT. Mercury found her offensive push when she ducked a clothesline and rebounded with a cross body block. Mercury moved quickly and hit Everett from every angle. Though Everett made a late match comeback, Mercury was able to pin her after landing a flying elbow drop.
Mia Mercury was declared the winner and closed out her year with a hard earned victory.
Tornado vs. The Iconoclast w/Dezzy Nightshade
Tornado stepped into the ring against The Iconoclast who made his way to the ring with Dezzy Nightshade by his side.
Tornado moved quick to take the bigger Iconoclast off his feet. The Iconoclast caught Tornado in midair and drove him to the mat with a powerslam. Tornado found himself on the defensive as The Iconoclast struck hard with a series of slams.
Tornado used a hurricanrana to send The Iconoclast face first into a turnbuckle and hit a corkscrew splash. Tornado covered for a pin but while the referee counted, Nightshade slid under the ropes and spit purple mist into Tornado’s face. Tornado stood up and stumbled around the ring, confused.
The referee began to approach Tornado but The Iconoclast grabbed Tornado and slammed him to the mat before rolling him up for a pin. The Iconoclast picked up a pinfall victory over Tornado and celebrated with a grinning Dezzy Nightshade holding his arm up in triumph.
No Holds Barred Match
Ruslan Panov vs. Obliterator
Ruslan Panov’s toughness was tested against deathmatch specialist Obliterator, who made a special appearance from the Lethal Fight Night Party promotion.
Panov showed no fear against Obliterator and had the deathmatch champion backpedaling early in the match. Obliterator threw Panov through the ropes to the floor and followed him outside to put the no holds barred stipulation into use.
Obliterator used the steel steps as a battering ram, steel chairs blasted across Panov’s back, and a length of rope to tied Panov to a ring post. Panov looked helpless as Obliterator ran at him with the steel steps but Panov managed to throw his legs out, connect with the steps, and send Obliterator flying backward to the floor. Panov freed himself from the rope and began to dish out a violent response to Obliterator.
The action returned to the ring where Obliterator aimed to hit Panov with a chair. Panov dodged, removed the chair from Obliterator’s hands, and began swinging. Panov positioned the dented chair under Obliterator’s head on the mat and curb stomped him before going for the pin to win the match.
MoW Wildheart Championship Match
Aurora Starkey vs. Kassidy Fortune (c)
The main event featured two long time rivals competing for MoW Wildheart Championship. Aurora Starkey wanted to add the title to her long list of accomplishments but Kassidy Fortune wanted to be the one to carry the title into 2024.
Both women tested each other early in the match before Fortune used a swinging neckbreaker to give her an opening to build a better offense. Starkey dodged Fortune’s cutter and knocked the champion down with a vicious clothesline.
The challenger fought with passion as she tried to keep Fortune down. Starkey used a piledriver, covered Fortune, and was shocked when Fortune rolled her shoulder up a split second before the three count. Starkey looked more determined and tried for a powerbomb but Fortune slipped free and used a cutter. Fortune dove on Starkey for a pin but the challenger kicked out.
The match intensified. Starkey punched her way out of a headlock on the mat and both women slugged away at each other as they got to their feet. Starkey had the champion in her sights with a clothesline but Fortune used a baseball slide to clip Starkey’s ankles. Starkey began to stand up but was dropped back down with a cutter. Fortune covered Starkey and won the match by pinfall.
Kassidy Fortune held the MoW Wildheart Championship in her grasp and kissed it before holding it high above her head. Starkey approached the champion, offering a handshake. Fortune pushed Starkey’s hand away and then embraced her with a hug. The two shared some words before Starkey raised Fortune’s hand and left the ring to the champion.
