Rapid Fire Wrestling #089 Results

The final Rapid Fire Wrestling before the Tidal Wave supershow happened on the shores of Daytona Beach, FL where many rivalries intensified.

The Door vs. Chucky Arter and Eric Waves

Indie wrestling tag team Chucky Arter and Eric Waves left a good impression on MoW management and fans during their appearance earlier this season. The Door, Malcom and Richter, were not impressed with the team, which lead to this opening match.

Arter and Waves showed strong teamwork in the opening minutes of the match but The Door stopped their momentum. Despite a gutsy showing, Arter and Waves were defeated by The Door by pinfall.

The Door called for their music to be cut off and grabbed microphones. Malcom and Richter addressed the MoW Team Champions.

“NCSF! You two carry those belts which is a symbol of the best team in this company. Well, everybody knows that is a mistake. The Door is the best team in MoW and we want those titles.” -Malcom

“We’re done playing games around here. Tornado, Adam! We want a match at Tidal Wave for those titles. Come out here and accept our challenge!” -Richter

MoW Team Champions NCSF did come to the ring and were more than willing to put the titles on the line against The Door, making the match official for next week’s Tidal Wave supershow.

For the Last Time, Not Interested

Paul Priest stood on the boardwalk watching a group of young women play volleyball on the beach. Delilah appeared bored standing by his side.

Andre Jordan approached Priest and grabbed him by his collar.

“I don’t know what you don’t understand, but Lucia has no interest in you or your sleepy night club. I am telling you. Leave her alone.” -Andre Jordan

Priest tried to talk his way out of the situation and when that failed Delilah jumped on Jordan’s back. Lucia Mendez ran up to the scene and pulled Delilah off. All four started brawling but it was quickly broken up by security guards.

MoW later announced that Paul Priest and Delilah would face Andre Jordan and Lucia Mendez in a mixed tag match at Tidal Wave.

A Mess to Clean Up

MoW Commission Tiger Johnson sighed as he put away his mobile phone, muttering that another fight on the boardwalk was the last thing he needed. Johnson was sitting in a production trailer on the beach that served as an office for him. Across the desk from him sat Rex Anarchy and Cole Arcane. Johnson gave them a long stare before addressing concerns about their destructive boardwalk fight.

“The two of you can’t stop fighting. Last week, you two destroyed property on the boardwalk during your little brawl and got yourselves arrested. That little stunt cost MoW a lot of money. And I had to hear about it. Since you can’t settle things within the ring, I’m going to give you more space. You will face each other in a Beach Brawl Match. No holds barred. You can fight anywhere on the beach. Pinfall or submission wins. And do not step onto the boardwalk or it is the last time either of you work here again. Now get out of my sight.” -Tiger Johnson

Arcane and Anarchy were dismissed from the trailer. Johnson put his head in his hands and hoped the rest of the show would go easy. Then he looked at the show rundown sheet.

“That match is next? Oh, no. I need an aspirin.” -Tiger Johnson

Bill Stanton and Ridge vs. Rus Samson and Cool Spencer w/Alexandra Morgan and Paisley Alden

Cool Spencer and Rus Samson carried Paisley Alden and Alexandra Morgan to the ring on their shoulders. The women tossed beads and streamers into the crowd as they made their way to the ring. Spencer tripped near the ring causing he and Alden to fall into the sand, reducing the foursome into uncontrollable laughter. Samson and Spencer’s opponents, Bill Stanton and Ridge, stared at the scene from the ring.

Stanton and Ridge used their ring veteran advantage against the still giggling Spencer and Samson. Samson overpowered the competition midway through the match and worked well with Spencer to give Stanton and Ridge a good fight.

The action went back and forth until Ridge had Spencer in position for a shooting star press. Alden threw her t-shirt on Ridge’s face. The distraction was minor, but it gave Spencer time to react and block the shooting star press with his knees. Spencer recovered and used a hanging suplex to subdue Ridge for a pinfall victory.

Cool Spencer and Rus Samson were victorious and celebrated in the ring with Alexandra Morgan and Paisley Alden. They passed around a bottle of rum, spilling as much as they drank. This brought out a furious Tiger Johnson to stop them. Morgan loosened Johnson’s tie and told him to lighten up, which caused the MoW Commissioner to suspend the four friends until the fall season.

Not Great

Carolina Deene was found peeking around the corner of a boardwalk shop. She eased up but turned around to find Cate Stiles behind her. Stiles broke an awkward silence by saying Deene had been hard to find and thought she was dodging her last week. Deene offered an explanation that she wasn’t avoiding Stiles but had other engagements due to MoW’s busy schedule.

“Oh. Ok. Because I heard what you said about winning our match and how I’m ‘not great anymore’ and just wanted to make sure you got the message that we have a rematch next week at Tidal Wave. You heard about that, right? I hope so, because I need the best Carolina Deene in that ring. I need you at your best, so people can judge for themselves how ‘not great’ I am these days. See you next week.” -Cate Stiles

Stiles walked away and Deene watched her with a look of concern.

The Proving Ground

Kassidy Fortune walked to the ring and demanded a microphone. Fortune called out MoW Wildheart Champion Mia Mercury to the ring. Fortune confronted the champion.

“I will give you credit. You did earn that belt over your shoulder. You did beat me. But it was one night. It was supposed to be my night! Not yours! I am the one who came into MoW and got title matches. I made a name for myself here. Where were you? On your couch because your knee gave out on you. I loved Wildheart Wrestling Club but I am tired of just being the WWC girl. I am bigger than WWC ever was. I am bigger than you! And I’m not going to sit back and hope for the best. I am the best. And I want that title so people will start recognizing that.” -Kassidy Fortune

Mercury called Fortune insecure and shared her true opinion of her.

“Back in WWC, you were that leader. Without you, we never would have made it as far as we did. But that was then. This title may carry the WWC namesake, but it’s not a legacy belt. It’s the future of this company. I won this for me and for every woman in MoW who wants to put on the best match of the night. I wasn’t about to step aside and let you win it for some fairytale that only you benefit from. You’ve changed. I thought you used to be one of us, but now I realize you were only in this for yourself.” -Mia Mercury

Fortune tried to strike Mercury but the attempt was blocked and Mercury belted Fortune in the mouth. Fortune dropped to her knee and looked up at Mercury in shock. Mercury held the MoW Wildheart Championship belt high and looked at Fortune with contempt before leaving the ring.

The Threat Closing In

MoW Champion Killer Malone came to the ring to address his match against Pierre Laurent at Tidal Wave.

“Listen, kid. You want to be champion just like everybody else. It’s what you’ve been working for. But everybody out here on the sands know that Claudia Winter is the one behind all this nonsense and you are just doing her dirty work.” -Killer Malone

Laurent, with Winter at his side, came down to the ring to confront the champion. Laurent was confident in his chances against the champion.

“You know what your downfall is going to be? You don’t have someone like Claudia to keep you in check anymore. You aren’t seeing clearly. You continue to dismiss me as a contender and it is going to cost you. I am more dangerous than you realize and I am confident that I can beat you.” -Pierre Laurent

Winter cut in and did admit that, for her, this match is personal. Winter backed up Laurent and said that his training with MoW Champion Shannon Worth has made him into a whole different fighter.

Malone had little time to respond because Worth appeared from the crowd, hopped into the ring, and blasted Malone from behind with her title belt. Laurent, Winter, and Worth attacked Malone. Malone began to push them away but was struck by Laurent’s spinning elbow and was knocked out. Laurent picked up the MoW Championship and gave it a long look before standing over the champion in triumph.

Tracy Blood vs. Annika

The main event match featured the second encounter of two MMA specialists. Tracy Blood looked to get a win against Annika with a strike-heavy offense.

Annika took down Blood with a leg drag which had both women trading holds and submissions. Annika went for an arm breaker but Blood escaped. Blood missed a head kick and was caught with a kick to the gut that gave Annika the advantage.

Annika worked Blood’s arm and tried for another arm breaker late in the match but Blood slipped away and hit her with a quick head kick. Annika stumbled backward but stayed on her feet. Blood struck with another head kick that dropped Annika. Blood covered for a pin to win the match.

Blood stood up to get her arm raised before taking a moment to recover against the ropes. Behind her, Annika took a microphone.

“So. It’s 1-1 now. Seeing as we’ve got Tidal Wave next week, why don’t we end this summer with one more match to see who really is the better fighter.” -Annika

Blood turned around, regarded Annika, and then held out her hand. Blood and Annika shook hands, setting the stage for a tie breaker match at Final Round.
