Rapid Fire Wrestling #086 Results

MoW brought Rapid Fire Wrestling to Daytona Beach, FL for a five week residency with the action happening right on the beach! The shows were open to the public, the ring was constructed in the sand between the boardwalk and the ocean, and mood felt like a big party.

Chez Everett vs. Mary Jane Elder

The summer residency kicked off with Chez Everett and Mary Jane Elder locking up under the sunshine. The party-going crowd was excited during this competitive match, siding with Elder while she made a strong offensive push near the end of the match. Everett held strong, however and defeated Elder by pinfall.

Redesigning The Diamond Peak

The Diamond Peak suffered some huge losses at Mad Season. Killer Malone left the group, taking the MoW Championship with him. Preston Montgomery and Pierre Laurent lost the MoW Team Championship.

Mad Season was not a total loss, however, and The Diamond Peak came to the ring dressed professionally despite the relaxed vibe of the beach setting. Claudia Winter wasted no time praising Shannon Worth for another successful defense of the MoW Championship, defeating Cate Stiles and extending her record-setting title reign further.

Winter called Worth the greatest champion in MoW history and wanted to reward her. Winter announced that Worth would have the summer off and would not need to compete during the summer season. This upset the audience but pleased Worth who graciously accepted the gesture.

Winter turned her attention to her former tag team champions. Winter expressed her disappointment in Montgomery and Laurent for losing the titles to NCSF, though she offered a redemption plan.

“There is opportunity in this setback. Killer Malone is out there carrying the MoW Championship, a championship I gave him! He is an ungrateful leech and I will not rest until the MoW Championship is back under The Diamond Peak… which brings me to you, Pierre. I had a talk with Tiger Johnson and negotiated a title match. You vs. Killer Malone, for the MoW Championship, at Tidal Wave. Win the title, or else.” -Claudia Winter

Montgomery began to congratulate Laurent, but Winter was not done with her announcements.

“Preston, the reason Pierre got this opportunity is because it was your fault we lost the MoW Team Championship. I have no place in The Diamond Peak for weakness. You are dismissed.” -Claudia Winter

Montgomery and Laurent were both saddened by the news but Winter commanded Laurent to take Montgomery out by force. Laurent was reluctant but Winter continued to demand it. Laurent attacked Montgomery and dumped him from the ring where he was left behind as The Diamond Peak left ringside.

Confidence Building

Cate Stiles and her husband, Jax Rivers, sat on the boardwalk watching the waves in the distance. Stiles confided in Rivers that she has doubts that she can compete at a high level again after being re-injured at Mad Season. Rivers tried to encourage Stiles not to give up.

“You’ve talked to the doctors and the trainers. You came back too soon. Your leg is strong. You’ve had more time to get ready again. You’ve got this.” -Jax Rivers

Carolina Deene, enjoying an ice cream cone, strolled by and stopped to talk to the Stiles.

“It was truly heartbreaking to see your leg give out like that. I was rooting for you, I really was! You were one of the greatest to ever get in the ring. I hate to think of you in the past tense, but, well, you know. It just makes me sad.” -Carolina Deene

Deene trotted off, ice cream in hand, as Stiles watched her with fury. Rivers asked Stiles if she was ok.

“I will be. And she’ll be the first to know it.” -Cate Stiles

Paisley Alden w/Cool Spencer vs. Siobhan Wild

Siobhan Wild came to the ring ready for a match with Paisley Alden. Wild waited for Alden, who never showed up, and was declared the winner by no contest.

MoW Commissioner Tiger Johnson found Alden returning from the boardwalk with her boyfriend, Cool Spencer. Johnson demanded to know why Alden failed to show up for her match. Alden said she forgot and laughed off the mishap with Spencer before walking away, angering Johnson.

A Celebration of Legacy

Kimberly Kennedy welcomed new MoW Team Champions, NCSF, to the ring. Kennedy congratulated Tornado and Hardcore Adam on their victory at Mad Season and asked them what was next. Tornado was thrilled to live in the moment and Adam shared their hopes for the championship run ahead of them.

“This title run will be a celebration of legacy. I’ve been doing this for a long, long time. I shared a locker room with Tornado’s father and now he and I are champions together. We want to honor the legacy between us while also looking ahead. We want to defend against the best and brightest this sport has to offer.” -Hardcore Adam

NCSF spent time with fans on the beach following the interview.

Wildhearts in Contention

Mia Mercury, the inaugural MoW Wildheart Champion, came to the ring to address winning the title at Mad Season.

“I debuted here about a year ago and worked hard to make my mark. Here it is! MoW Wildheart Champion. It is an honor to hold this title, an homage to what myself and so many others accomplished in Wildheart Wrestling Club. We put on some of the best action in wrestling at WWC and while I am champion I will ensure that the Wildheart spirit will continue!” -Mia Mercury

Mercury addressed the post-match attack by Kassidy Fortune, admitting she was hurt by the disrespect and did not understand why Fortune would strike.

Fortune came to the ring to answer that question.

“You were just another face in the WWC locker room. I was the ace. WWC was my house! The belt around your waist? That was meant for me.” -Kassidy Fortune

Fortune made it clear that her intention was to take the Wildheart Championship from Mercury. Mercury stood up to Fortune and welcomed the challenge.

Rex Anarchy vs. Cole Arcane

Rex Anarchy made his way through the beach crowd to enter the ring and call out his long-standing rival, Cole Arcane.

“You got your victory at Mad Season. Good for you. What would be more impressive is if you fought me without busted ribs. I’m healed up now and if you’ve got the guts, why don’t you crawl out from under the pier with the rest of the garbage and come fight me!” -Rex Anarchy

Arcane did come to the ring prompting the main event match. The fight was as unhinged as one would expect from these two. The action spilled out of the ring after several minutes of roughneck brawling and the fight went into the crowd.

The referee chased behind the fight as Arcane and Anarchy drifted through the gathered crowd toward the ocean. Arcane blinded Anarchy with a handful of sand but Anarchy managed to find Arcane and suplex him into the sand. The referee failed to get the match under control and called for a double countout as the fight continued.

Anarchy stalked Arcane who stumbled away from him but was blasted in the head with a rock that Arcane found in the sand. Anarchy was dazed and Arcane beat on him before tossing Anarchy into the ocean.

Cole Arcane walked away as the waves pulled Anarchy further out into the ocean.
